Community guidelines
Last updated: 19 October 2026
FernPrint works because people trust what they find here: the pictures are the photographer’s own, the words are honest, and the replies are worth reading. These guidelines apply to writers’ stories and profiles, and to every reply.
Post what is yours to post
Publish photographs and writing you created, or that you have the right to share. Credit other people’s work when you include it, and link to the source. Copying someone else’s photos or text and passing them off as your own is plagiarism, and it is removed.
Do not impersonate another person, photographer, brand or organisation, on your profile or in a reply.
Respect the people in your frame
Do not publish other people’s private information: home addresses, phone numbers, identity documents, private messages, or anything else they have not chosen to make public. Harassment, threats and hate aimed at people for who they are have no place on FernPrint, in stories or replies.
Keep links and files safe
Links are welcome, including links to your own website and shop. They must not lead to malware, phishing pages or anything built to deceive or harm the person who clicks. No illegal content of any kind.
Sexual content involving minors is never allowed. It is removed and may be reported to the authorities.
Replies
- Stay on the subject of the story you are replying to.
- Be civil. Disagree with the work, not the person who made it.
- No advertising, repeated links or messages pasted across many stories.
Every guest reply is reviewed before it appears. Moderators may decline a reply without explanation.
What moderators can do
When something breaks these guidelines, the FernPrint team may remove the story, reply or image concerned, and may close a profile that breaks them seriously or repeatedly. We try to be consistent and proportionate, and we look at reports one by one.
Reporting a problem
Seen something that breaks these rules? Go to the contact page and choose Report a story or reply, or Image or text rights if it is your own work that was taken. Include the address of the page. Every report is read.
